This one-of-a-kind venue is centrally located, conveniently adjacent to Historic Downtown Clarksville and just a few short miles from Exit 4 and Exit 11 off I-24. WaterStreet Events Center offers nearly 8,000 sq ft of interior space and can hold approximately 500 guests with a seating capacity just over 400. The spaciousness of this facility allows for a large kitchen that comes equipped with many commercial appliances. A caterer’s dream!
The History of the Name WaterStreet
In 1785, when the North Carolina legislature founded Clarksville, TN, one of the only streets in Clarksville was Water Street. This street was already resting along the banks of the Cumberland River and was a crucial link that connected the Cumberland River to the tobacco and railroad industry that, during that time, was experiencing explosive growth.
Over the years, the street formally known as "Water Street" has seen many changes, including several name changes, ending with what we now know as Riverside Drive. Today, a piece of Clarksville's history is back along the banks of the Cumberland River, historically preserved within the walls of WaterStreet Events Center.
